Sam Ilaqua, SIT Co-Founder, Has Passed Away

TORONTO, Ontario — February 3, 2016 — We are deeply saddened to announce that SIT co-founder Salvatore (Sam) Ilaqua passed away on February 2, 2016.

Sam's career spanned many years in the Canadian banking industry when he retired from the Continental Bank of Canada. A co-founder of SIT, Sam was a visionary. Sam always believed there was a better way. With his leadership, courage, and intelligence, Sam helped shape SIT and influence the banking industry.

Sam's rare combination of astute business sense and warm personality will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
